Its About Time for this one...

Today is a very special post as I am reviewing the one and only novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone! Now for those of you who have read Harry Potter out there might be thinking, who hasn’t read Harry Potter? Its an iconic book that everyone grows up reading right? Well, not exactly. I haven't read a single Harry Potter book until now. And I absolutely loved it!!! I would rate this series at 5 stars and beyond. There are no possible words for how good it was. For anyone is above the age 10 I would recommend you to read the first novel, Harry potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (or the Philosopher’s Stone, as my friend likes to argue with me). I did not feel the need to go to a library to pick up one single book, so instead I listened to the audio book. I think that this is a great choice if you are not in a position to get the actual book. I feel like the narrator makes the characters and story come to life. For someone who has never read the harry potter books before, the story caught my attention immediately. The famed author J.K. Rowling, seemed to add every detail that made this novel perfect. She also made this book one of its own kind, so I feel there is nothing that can be the same as the one and only Harry Potter. If you are a person who likes magic, adventure, and mystery then I recommend this iconic series for you.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone starts off with the famous 10 year old boy with the broken glasses and lightning bolt scar. Living with his cruel and stuck-up Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon, Harry is treated more like an afterthought than a nephew. Especially, with his spoiled cousin, Dudley, there to make life even worse for Harry. Harry’s parents died in an accident, or so he is told. There is a whole world of wizards, magic, and sorcery that he has been kept from all these years. Until the loving half-giant, Hagrid, comes into the story. He is sent by Headmaster Albus Dumbledore to collect Harry to go to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the best magic school in London. There he befriends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger but also makes enemies with the mysterious potions professor Severus Snape and the class bully Draco Malfoy. When Harry, Ron, and Hermione, get lost in the magic hallways, they discover more they should and uncover a great Hogwarts secret. If you have not read the Harry Potter series, I suggest you do so and find out what happens next on Harry’s journey!

Happy reading,

Evelyn Harrier
